Some Exciting News  . . .

Nature’s Haven is now a Charity!

Registration Number:  1219048

Community Healing Garden

Our Community Healing Garden is fully accessible and welcoming to everyone, regardless of ability, mobility or personal circumstances.

Learning, Growing and Practical Skills

The garden gives people a supportive space to learn about gardening, grow their own food, and build practical skills in preparing and cooking fresh produce.

Wellbeing and Relaxation

We also offer a calm outdoor retreat from the pressures of everyday life. Through access to nature, shared activity, and quiet reflection, we aim to help people feel stronger, safer, and more supported.

By encouraging connection, confidence, and tranquillity, Nature’s Haven helps create a healthier and more resilient community.

We offer all this for free!

Now that we are a charity, we will be able to access more corporate donations but what can you do to help?

All Welcome!

It's BBQ Time . . .

When the sun comes out, firing up the BBQ grill is the ultimate way to celebrate.  It transforms cooking into a shared community event rather than a solitary indoor chore.

So let's combine social connection and outdoor enjoyment with these easy foodie suggestions . . .

Grilling fruits and vegetables on the barbecue caramelises their natural sugars and creates a smoky, rich flavour.

Quick and easy options include buttered corn on the cob, thick-cut courgette & aubergine slices and firm peach or pineapple halves charred for a sweet dessert.

Vegetables cook fast on a hot grill and benefit from a simple coating of oil and seasoning.

Try Tasty Skewers

Using a combo of chunks of bell peppers, red onions, mushrooms, courgettes and cherry tomatoes, toss them in olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, and oregano before grilling for two to three minutes per side until charred.

As for pud, these couldn't be easier or tastier . . . serve with cream, yoghurt or ice cream -

Caramelised Pineapple Rings

Cut fresh pineapple into rings or thick slices. Brush lightly with oil or honey and grill for 2 to 3 minutes per side until warm OR dust with brown sugar, sea salt, and a pinch of finely chopped red chili before grilling, garnish with fresh mint.

Grilled Peaches with Honey

Cut peaches in half and remove stones. Place them cut-side down on the hot grill for a few minutes. Serve warm with a drizzle of honey.

BBQ Bananas

Make a lengthwise slit through the peel of each ripe banana without cutting through the bottom skin. Stuff the opening with chocolate chips, marshmallows, or brown sugar, wrap them in aluminium foil, and grill over medium indirect heat for 15 to 20 minutes.

Grilled Berry Dessert

Toss 2 cups of mixed berries with half tbsp brown sugar and a pinch of salt. Place them on a double layer of foil with a small pat of butter, seal the edges tightly, and grill over a medium flame for about 10 minutes.

Enjoy!
